I Love to create art because it’s fun to visually communicate the expressions of my soul
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love to paint portraits. I like to get into the vibration of the subject and paint who they really are, inside and out. I especially love to paint musicians because then I can listen to their music and lyrics to really immerse myself in their energy as I paint them.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in spirituality and painting from a meditative state. Also, I’ve been drawn to the color blue since childhood and find joy in using various shades in my creations. Having grown up in Iowa, I’m also inspired by the fast energy and constant motion of New York City.
What would you do with $25,000?When my mom had a stroke I moved back home to the Midwest to help my family. I’d been living in NYC, doing shows and living my art. I would use the $25,000 to relocate back to Brooklyn. The energy, the art, the museums of the city… I will use it to continue building my art life.
