I love to create art that uses realism combined with symbolism in order to make the viewer feel a connectivity to what moves me and disperse my message of creating a passionate and spiritually more wholesome world. I do this with both my visual imagery and with my passionate performance of flamenco.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration by connectivity to what l consider great art of the past, meaningful and moving art of the present, and attempt to project my vision into a meaningful and inspirational vision for the future. I do this from my 55 year experience of Southern Spanish gypsy flamenco culture and my ongoing personal experience of sharing my knowledge with my vibrant American flamenco community. I create spiritual images in an attempt to connect my audience to a more wholesome connection to life.
What would you do with $25,000?I would share the prize with an art school which I was a part of for many years and for creating an event with my vibrant flamenco community to display my work in combination with an unforgettable flamenco theater performance.
