Paintings and drawings… my practice is to reconcile what one is conscious of while accessing that part of the brain that overrides consciousness. I use both abstract and recognizable vocabularies to show humankind’s relationship to the natural world. I hope to bring back the importance of beauty in art and awe in nature.
Where do you find inspiration?My ongoing inspiration is found in the work of Giotto, Ellsworth Kelly and Max Ernst. It’s also found in all aspects of the natural world and in simply looking.
What would you do with $25,000?The money would go towards studio supplies, the extra cost in working larger and the costs associated with exhibiting work such as framing and shipping.
