I like to create different textures and colors using found and or leftover materials.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art I choose to create is just following an idea that appears in my own spirits eye of wisdom. Using mostly found, gifted, or purchased disparate materials of wood, metal, fabric, stone, and glass and working them into the original vision presented to me within myself. Balance or asymmetry are of equal importance and the juxtaposition of colors and textures are exciting to me. Craft and technique through experience but also happenstance give me a power of joy in discovery.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in what has always fascinated me. Geology, architecture, history, archeology, music, color, textures, precious gems and minerals, horticulture, and spiritual observations.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use this small fortune to create a new open and safe studio on my property to allow me to consolidate all of my art supplies, tools, and materials in order to further my desire to create true works of art that reflect my own concepts and philosophy and hopefully change people's lives in a meaningful manner when my final creations are shown in a public forum.
