For me art is a student of the soul. I create the expression that my spirit senses of our connection to existence.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I am drawn to the human form. Often creating works that connect to the viewer with the subtle expression or movement of the body. Letting the viewer into a private moment of the subjects life.
Where do you find inspiration? As an artist I feel observation is a gift that we are given. Not only to simply recognize but to go beyond the apparent, but to sense the deeper emotion or “soulfullness” of a moment. I am strongly influenced by renaissance with my injection of color.
What would you do with $25,000?As an artist who is self taught, a great desire of mine is to continue my education. I am inspired by learning . One never achieves perfection, yet striving for the knowledge is why I continuue to put a brush to the canvas. Of course I would use the some of the money to create a more complete studio of supplies. I also would love the opportunity to establish a learning environment for those who are interested in exploring the possibilities of creation and expressing their unique viewpoint.
