primarily create original compositions featuring the human form, religious imagery, and landscapes. My work focuses on strong composition, anatomy, and expressive detail. Oil paint is my main medium, allowing me to build depth, richness, and intention in each piece as I develop my own artistic voice.
Where do you find inspiration?I draw inspiration from the great artists of different periods, studying their oil painting techniques like underpaintings. I apply these to the everyday beauty I see in nature, from the Appalachian Mountains to simple moments in life. My faith also influences my perspective, enriching my art with depth and meaning. This blend of classical techniques and personal experiences shapes my creative process.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in my continued education to enhance my skills as an artist and teacher. My goal is to gain as much knowledge as possible so I can share it with my students and inspire the next generation. Teaching art is vital, as it provides children with a creative outlet and valuable context for understanding the world. This investment in my education will enable me to give back to the youth and help them appreciate the importance of art in their lives and society.
