I create because it gives me the opportunities to express my feelings in more than words. Work that resonates with you, gives you community
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Should you want to know my style, then I’d say I lean towards creating geometric abstraction and expressionism art. The mediums of choice range from ink/pen and acrylic paints. Should you want to know my favorite kind of creation, well then that is unexpected pieces made for my friends and family to enjoy. Should this art find a stranger and it resonates a bit a familiarity then that’s my dream. Making others feel like they are not alone in the way they are feeling is a gift.
Where do you find inspiration?I draw based on my day to day experiences. When I reflect on brief moments that have shaped who I am as a person today, that leads me to the need to record that very moment on a paper, canvas, sketchbook etc. The need to save that experience can best be compared to journaling my life thoughts, except in imagery. Whether it be about a fleeting friendship, grief of a person, or wonder what’s to come for the future, that’s what drives me to create before the “moment” passes completely.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest some towards a new art space and travel. It would be amazing to take time travel out of country to visit Florence, Italy
