I want to experience the feeling of awe every time I see direction of my process. Staring at a finished artwork brings me joy and awe.

Abstract art on paper, using gouache, acrylic ink, gansai tambi and gelpens. I mainly work on paper because I find the relationship of the artist and the paper more intimate than canvas. One of my biggest pleasures when I create an abstract piece is that it starts with a doodle, it multiplies then a form or a movement takes place, thats when I see the direction, I follow that direction until it tells a story to me. I put the piece under a desk lamp, and wait for the piece to come to life.
Where do you find inspiration?Movement, patterns, dance. I love seeing a mass of people moving, there is an element of order when I see a group of people moving about. Dancing is another source of inspiration, I watch videos of dancers an I observe them closely looking for a unique gesture that i could copy. Every time a take a walk I am mindful of the textures or marks i find on the street, or barks of tree. There is logic when patterns are formed without intention. I translate those patterns on paper and give them life.
What would you do with $25,000?Mainly use it to buy materials so I can experiment new technics and methods. My style is constantly evolving and I need to go bigger with the size of my artworks. I sell my artworks on the street. I am street art vendor in Los Angeles, I would like to by more equipment so I could display my artworks. Selling on the street is so awe inspiring. I light up whenever I see people appreciate my art. Whatever is left, buy art supplies to schools that need art supplies.
