My work reflects a spiritual journey that includes shamanism, science, meditation, and visions of things unseen.

I want to create art that makes people think. I prefer abstraction in paintings but my love is the sculptural forms. The Angelic Star Dragons are made from found objects. Recognizable containers used for common household products along with other elements from plastic models to objects found on the street.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from mystical and scientific themes. Working with spiritual but nonreligious themes. I have been meditating and engaging in various rituals all my life. I never really know what or how the next stage will eventually end unreflected in my work. Which is both the challenge and reward.
What would you do with $25,000?First and foremost I would reinvest that money into my art. New welding and woodworking tools. There also the possibility of applying for a new long term residency. Developing and improving a new website would also be a consideration to use part of that money. Finally I would consider a bit of travel, perhaps to the west cost where there might be a more receptive audience for the themes I explore in my art.
