I create art that aims to evoke emotion in those who experience it. Through photography, I love pairing images to form a metaphorical symbiosis. For example, combining a landscape and a portrait, I create a sense that the person and the environment belong to one another. Similarly, pairing an animal with a human portrait creates a dynamic that connects both subjects emotionally.
Where do you find inspiration?My inspiration comes from real life encounters and experiences. Whether I’m traveling to a place or meeting someone whose portrait I photograph, each connection shapes the creative process. Beyond those experiences, I’m also inspired by painters, sculptors, cinema, and literature, all of which inform the imagery I create.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would invest in my art by traveling to photograph diverse cultures around the world. Additionally, I’m working on my first photography book, where I pair images with personal texts about each day and photo. Part of the money would help fund its publication, creating a deeper, interactive experience for viewers.
