My favorite type of art to create is tattooing. As a veteran, I found tattooing to be more than just art—it’s a way to tell stories, honor experiences, and connect with people on a deeper level. Every piece I create carries meaning, whether it represents strength, loss, or growth. I’m passionate about turning ideas into permanent expressions, and I take pride in the discipline and focus it takes to master this craft.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in my life experiences, especially my time as a veteran, where I learned discipline, resilience, and the value of meaningful expression. I’m inspired by the stories people carry—each tattoo represents something personal, whether it’s strength, loss, or growth. I also draw inspiration from other artists, culture, and everyday moments, turning those influences into unique, lasting pieces of art.
What would you do with $25,000?The $25,000 would be used to support veterans and others in the community through art. It could help create a space where people can express their stories and experiences through tattooing, especially those dealing with trauma or transition. Funds could also go toward providing discounted or free tattoos for veterans, as well as outreach programs that use art as a form of healing and connection.
