What is your favorite type of art to create?

My favorite type of art to create is work that explores the emotional world of gay men—connection, tenderness, vulnerability, and the quiet power of being seen. I’m drawn to soft chalk because it lets me shape intimacy without harsh lines. The medium feels human: warm, smudged, breathing. Through gentle shading and subtle gestures, I try to capture moments that often go unspoken—comfort, trust, longing, and the beauty of simply existing together.

Where do you find inspiration?

Art is where I let myself be fully seen, the way queer intimacy teaches you to open the locked rooms of your heart. When I create, I tap into that same electric honesty—the courage to show softness, the ache of wanting to be understood, the quiet power of being held in someone’s gaze without hiding. What would you do with $25,000?

If I won $25K as an artist, I wouldn’t play it safe. I’d use it to break rules people pretend are unbreakable.
