I like to tell stories through photography and drawing and I like to capture all the subtle tone shifts and seeing the world as tiny shapes.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love high contrast photography that allows me to draw very subtle differences in blacks and whites along with huge masses of shadow. I love patterns, textures, composition, and using the frame as apart of the photo rather than just a window, along with small minimalist buildings and expressive people with exaggerated anatomy. I have yet to master photography and implement all these things in my art but hopefully one day I'll get there. I also love to capture all the unseen geometry in portrait
Where do you find inspiration?I love to look at professional photographers such as Sebastiao Salgado, Richard Avedon, Annie Leibovitz, and others who have great composition, exposure, emotion, and overall story telling ability. I struggle with expressing emotion in my work and life so I am motivated by trying to express myself better and by my drive to tell a story. I'm currently still working on developing my art into something past technique and refining my story telling abilities.
What would you do with $25,000?I would start to pay my parents back for college and also try and put a down payment down for a house.
