I love to create art because every time I finish a piece, I think about the fact that this didn’t and wouldn’t have existed if I didn’t try.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is of moments from life that we typically wouldn’t think twice about. There are many moments throughout the day that I want to capture in a piece and press pause for a second to truly appreciate life. I am less drawn to obvious beauty in the world, but rather bringing life to ordinary moments.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from being outside and from other creatives. There is such a beauty in creating something that didn’t exist until we decided to put forward the ambition to bring it to life. That’s why I admire any type of creative whether it is art, music, books, movies, and anything that didn’t exist until a human decided to create.
What would you do with $25,000?If I win the $25,000, I will quit my marketing corporate job to pursue art full time. I have been working full time for almost 10 years while creating on the side, and would like my career to be painting.
