I create art for my passion of the traditional art of flint knapping while taking it into the modern world with traditional values in mind.

I love to create functional art, that is not only for display, but for use to see how past life was and how well the tools made from that period still outshine modern methods we see today.
Where do you find inspiration?I found my passion out in the woods, and being around our culture all through my life. I was an avid steel knife collector in my youth and present days. The variety of stone that is available inspires me to try and make a tool or blade from every piece I can from around the world.
What would you do with $25,000?I would reinvest into my art form so that I may continue my path to a Cherokee national treasure title within our Cherokee nation community. The title is very prestigious and honorable for our tribal members as you have to be within the art and demonstrate for more than 20 years. The money would help me get more stone, handle materials, and overall help me get more creative while keeping traditional values of the art in mind.
