I use art as an expressive or narrative for certain feelings or moods. It is the way that I try to communicate my everything.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Nonrepresentational art. My vision has always been to create so that the views create their own emotional field and feeling with every view and glance it receives. Whether it is from side to side, head on or just walking by, my hopes are that the work creates a feeling or an energy. No matter what environment with which it lives in the idea was always to inspire positive change or remove negative thoughts or emotions so that upon reflection and/or return to the art a viable memory was created.
Where do you find inspiration?Life experience. From personal growth and bettering myself. Ideas communicated through popular culture in music and film to reading social and historical issues such as the health of generations and humanity itself. Most of all just a general mood can create a piece in a moment; followed an increased awareness of being in that moment.
What would you do with $25,000?First off, I would support my son and his music career because he is a vigilant recording artist that speaks of social issues from a teenagers viewpoint. I would also donate money in the tribal community where we live towards art education for expressive purposes. The things I am most concerned about are social issues surrounding generational lineage, and repairing emotional pain. What I’m most excited about doing is breaking from the codependent social norms that we live in… art saves!
