All that is art is life, and all is meaningful, beautiful. I’m a full-time practitioner of “the art and of living well.” Art gives life significance. I paint, I write, I compose music, I sing, I’m a published poet and author, culinary art practitioner. I’m a trained former merchant marine chef. And now I own a farm and practice growing and harvesting our own foods. Horticultural arts, i believe.
Where do you find inspiration?From Life. To me personally, everything and everyone and every event, is an inspiration. A motivation, a time to later reflect. As a mental health professional, I employed my art, poetry and music to help my patients regain and find themselves even when they were at their darkest and most depressed point. I often times, encourage they write poetry, find some space in those darkened spaces to write a song that they might later laugh at, but the point was that they live throughout that moment.
What would you do with $25,000?I would used most of the money to complete the production process of my upcoming salsa, reggae, calypso and rock music album. Perhaps use the rest to conduct a little tour with my paintings and play some free music to college and high schools from my previous album, The Songbook of Life. Then perhaps I might be best suited to concentrate and open my art gallery to support and teach artists whom cannot afford a place to create. www.sabasartcove.com
