Based on her large-scale public works—like her participation in some CowParades and her six feet dog sculpture at Maurice A. Ferré Park—and her use of vibrant colors and symbolic forms, Sabrina Blanco creates contemporary public art with a strong pop-surrealist and abstract influence. Her work blends public art, pop surrealism, and abstract expression, focusing on large, visually striking pieces that explore identity, emotion, and human connection.
Where do you find inspiration?I am Sabrina Blanco, an artist inspired by the beauty around me, the colors of nature, and the interactions with resilient people who are always helping others. The feeling that we can still make this world a better, brighter place—especially for children—is what I pour into every piece of art I create.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest the award in expanding my public art projects that bring color, hope, and connection into communities—especially for children. I plan to create large-scale sculptures and murals in accessible spaces, collaborate with organizations that support youth and animal protection, and fund free artwork shop for communities. This opportunity would allow me to transform my vision into tangible experiences that inspire resilience, kindness, and joy, proving that art can truly make bright world.
