I am a bedbound artist from Georgia who loves everything creative. It gives me an outlet to escape my pain and feelings. It makes me alive.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Abstract, collage type pieces are my favorite pieces to create. I love torn paper, paint, tape, and textures that invite you into the piece. I enjoy doing this both digitally and with paints and papers. It challenges me to work with more than color and space.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from having to drop out of art school during the most inspired point of my life. I have a drive to make art even when I feel like i can’t keep going. It’s a vessel for me to pour my emotion and creativity when I live confined to my bed. It expands the world I’m currently living in, and allows me to invite people into it. I find inspiration in other abstract artists, my parents, and artists like Matisse who found ways to be creative from their beds.
What would you do with $25,000?$25,000 would be life changing. I could help pay medical bills and afford my treatment and medical equipment. I hope to help my parents pay the medical bills and hire a disability attorney.
