Art taught me patience, perspective, relaxation, and was utilized as a mental escape when I needed it the most. Nothing else compares.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Tattoos. Tattooing has taken my art to the next level, where being bold has to also be intentional. Creating ideas that are brand new, working with concepts driven by someone else's vision and desires, and ultimately splashing micro to macro-doses of myself in the mix come with the territory; They are all bits and pieces of what is both necessary and exciting about my work.
Where do you find inspiration?I find much of my inspiration through how far I've come since I began. I started with no knowledge of how there was an entire industry and that people were building genuine names and careers through tattooing. However, the mass majority of my inspiration would have to be my clients who believed in me from day one. Following my entire career through social media, complimenting my progress, trusting my word; they believed in me and my work. I could not have done it without them and their support
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in my tattoo shop which will be celebrating 3 years in October, I would like to personally gift my artists with something special, I would go to Las Vegas to become an APP certified piercer, and I would use some of it to help aid the process of legally changing certain standards for tattooing/ piercing practices within my region. The list goes on but that would be my start.
