I am drawn to art because it allows me to translate and share a sense of peace and cultural connection with others. It’s my moment of joy
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I enjoy creating art that makes people feel good, art that brings a smile and adds color to everyday life. My work is often decorative and vibrant, with a focus on creating a positive emotional connection. I primarily paint with acrylics. At the same time, I work as a motion designer, so I also have a foundation in digital media. This dual practice allows me to experiment across different formats. I want to develop mixed-media experiences, art that people can feel immersed in and connected to.
Where do you find inspiration?Music is at the core of my concept. When I travel, I’m inspired by the way music exists within the cultures. When I see a band playing in the street, I observe how people dress, how they move, how they dance, and how they connect with the music and with each other. These moments of interaction and expression deeply influence my work. I translate that energy into my art through color, rhythm, and composition.
What would you do with $25,000?I would probably start by celebrating with a good meal but beyond that, I would invest the money directly into my artistic growth. I would take specialized classes to deepen my knowledge in TouchDesigner and expand my digital practice. Part of the funding would go toward upgrading my materials and equipment. I would spend time in Oaxaca, Mexico, immersing myself in local craftsmanship. I would seek out a mentor to learn traditional techniques and better understand their approach to handmade art.
