To preserve feeling, atmosphere, and the beauty of fleeting moments. To document the life we will one day want to look back on.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite work lives somewhere between documentary and cinema. I’m drawn to photographing places, people, hotels, food, culture, and quiet in-between moments in a way that feels immersive and emotionally honest. I love creating imagery that makes someone feel like they were there: the warmth of late light, the atmosphere of a room, the stillness of a desert road, the elegance hidden inside everyday life. Rugged yet refined.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration through travel, film, architecture, music, conversation, and observing how people move through spaces. I’m deeply inspired by culture, old hotels, long dinners, desert light, foreign cities, quiet mornings, and the emotional tone of a place. I’m especially drawn to work that feels timeless and human. Inspiration usually finds me when I slow down enough to notice the details most people overlook.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use it to expand Film House Riley into a larger body of work focused on travel, culture, hospitality, and visual storytelling. It would allow me to travel intentionally, invest in equipment and printing, and create long-form photographic projects and gallery-quality pieces that might not otherwise be financially possible. More than anything, it would give me the freedom to fully dedicate myself to the kind of meaningful work I want to create.
