I have a bachelors degree in fine art. I majored in ceramics but I love to paint too. I make art to spread the joy of creating something new

I love figure sculpture. I also make pottery on the wheel & paint with mixed media. Sculpture is my favorite because you can take a lump of earth and turn it into anything you desire. The human form is so beautiful & I like to try and capture the shape of the figure to look like you could grad hold of the squishy flesh. The possibilities with clay are endless.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspirations from my family & from nature. I grew up here in Utah & we are constantly outdoors. I like to imagine the whimsical realms beyond ours that exist in nature where fairies & sprites bring gifts with the morning dew. Growing up my grandmother would always read to me about how fairies would prop the grass blades back up each time we stepped on them. My daughter has an amazing imagination for a 5 year old & i aspire to give her the same sense of wonder I had growing up.
What would you do with $25,000?With this money I would be able to spend more time with my kids & teaching art to others. I have been wanting to take the leap to quit my job & go into teaching private art lessons for children & homeschool groups. I would invest into myself & my business so I can share the joy of creating with others. Art is an essential part of learning that most kids are missing these days. I currently only teach individuals very rarely due to my work schedule.
