I create to process discomfort and question what we accept as natural, especially the body, making visible what is often ignored.

I am drawn to creating work that challenges the perception of the body as fixed or purely human. My practice uses photography and mixed visual approaches to blur the line between the organic and the constructed. Through color, objects, and intervention, I transform the body into something ambiguous, questioning its role as both subject and object. I am less interested in representation and more in disruption.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in discomfort, contradiction, and cultural norms that are rarely questioned. Much of my work comes from observing how the body is regulated, aestheticized, and controlled, both socially and historically. I am also influenced by classical art, domestic environments, and personal memory, especially where beauty and unease coexist. I am interested in what feels familiar but slightly off—moments where something no longer fits within expected boundaries.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest in expanding my current body of work into a more cohesive and ambitious project. This includes producing larger-scale prints, experimenting with new materials, and developing installations that move beyond the image itself.Part of the funding would also support time and space to research and refine ongoing series, allowing them to evolve with greater conceptual clarity. My goal is not just to produce more work, but to deepen its impact and create stronger dialogue within.
