Connect What is your favorite type of art to create?

Hmmm to be honest it really depends on where my head is at! I think whatever medium and idea feels most freeing in the moment would be my answer for this. Secondly, I guess when I'm making a piece of art for someone else - stressful at times but is quite rewarding. Lastly, is when I'm teaching art to my children and adults of all abilities, assisting them in creating their vision, has to be the most satisfying of all... their process and reaction upon completion speaks for itself! Pure joy

Where do you find inspiration?

Everywhere—truly everywhere Sometimes I don’t even know when it happens, or if it already did. It moves through the world in countless forms... through mountains and concrete, through people, through music, through emotion—joy, and even pain. Luckily, it happens pretty frequently so that's good I guess!!!

What would you do with $25,000?

I would transform the small shed in my yard into a warm, welcoming studio where I could reach more students. Many would benefit from small group learning, building confidence, connection, and belonging alongside one-on-one support. It would also allow us to host small exhibitions for families and the community to celebrate their work. My students deserve equal care, attention, and opportunity. This space would be about more than teaching—it would be about feeling seen, valued, and connected.
