I create to make absence feel visible, for me It’s a way to heal, reflect, and preserve moments in time.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is work that feels emotionally honest. I love blending realism with abstraction, layering color, texture, and mixed media to create pieces that feel tied to memory and personal experience. A lot of my work comes from nostalgia, emotion, and the feeling of wanting to hold onto moments before they disappear.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the shifts in my personal life, moments of change, memory and the desire to return to earlier moments in life. I’m inspired by the way color, texture, layers, and imagery can carry feeling and memory at the same time.
What would you do with $25,000?With 25,000 dollars I would love to attend a focused artist residency, which will deepen my skills and be able to focus on just creating. With the remaining funds, I would continue pursuing my master’s degree to further my education and work toward building a stable career as an artist.
