I create art to calm my mind. Since I was a child, I would always turn to creating when my life felt out of control.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is art that moves me. I always gravitate towards painting because I feel I can express myself and my feelings best when moving paint. I love painting expressive feelings and emotions when painting portraits or abstract paintings with movement.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration everywhere. I find inspiration in the emotions of the people around me, in my own feelings, and in the uncertainties that life brings. I often see inspiration in the inner workings of my feelings and perceptions because I feel I know them best. This helps me navigate through life because I see how art helps me in everyday struggles and in bigger life situations.
What would you do with $25,000?If I had $25,000 I would start a company with my sister. We both want to co-own and operate a wellness center with art therapy, art classes, and holistic mental healing services, including yoga, meditation, and counseling. We are both very passionate about the well-being of others and want to dedicate our lives and careers to providing open access to mental health services/support. We want to be able to offer a safe space for everyone so people feel safe and cared for.
