My favorite type of art to create spans both large-scale murals and detailed studio paintings. I’m drawn to storytelling across different formats—using murals to transform public spaces into shared experiences, and paintings to explore more intimate, layered narratives. Together, they allow me to express cultural identity, emotion, and connection in both expansive and personal ways.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the intersection of culture, human connection, and lived experiences. Growing up across different parts of the world shaped my visual language, especially my connection to Egyptian heritage and symbolism. I’m also inspired by the communities I work with, translating shared stories and emotions into visual form. My practice in yoga and art therapy further guides me to create work rooted in intention, healing, and transformation.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to grow my impact as both a muralist and educator by launching community-based art projects and immersive installations that encourage participation and storytelling. A portion would support free or low-cost art workshops, while also allowing me to further develop my fine art practice and expand opportunities for public engagement through art
