What is your favorite type of art to create?

I like creating art based on concepts and perspectives. Concepts of ideas, phrases, words, and their meanings. I take things people see every day and look at them a little deeper. I’m really inspired by life, emotions, intimacy, and even the moon and stars. I like turning thoughts and feelings into something you can actually see. Medium-wise I move between acrylics and watercolors, working on both paper and canvas depending on what the idea calls for.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration in almost everything. It could be a video and one small part of it sticks with me. It could be a song and a certain lyric catches my attention. Sometimes I’ll just be out people watching at a park or event and see a moment between people that inspires me. Inspiration is always around me, you just have to notice it.

What would you do with $25,000?

I’d pour it into one solid series that feels like me, then build around it prints, content, and an experience people can feel, not just see. Then I'd start the process of opening my art gallery. Right now, I’m still learning how to put myself and my work out there, so this would help me take that next step. I want to create a space where people can come experience art in a real and comfortable way, and where emerging artists like me can be seen.
