What is your favorite type of art to create?

I love creating work that feels emotionally alive. My art is rooted in blending storytelling, culture, and feeling through visual interpretations of what I’m hearing, tasting, sometimes smelling, and environmentally experiencing at that moment. I want my work to make people pause, resonate, and feel connected, with many pieces becoming even more understandable or intimate once the viewer reads the title and connects it back to the visual and emotional experience of the work.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration in human experiences I see everyday and the emotional environments tied to them. Through Synesthesia, a lot of my ideas come from conversations, music, food, community, cultural spaces, memories, and the small sensory details that are overlooked when immersed in an environment. I love the way emotion can shape how we experience color, texture, sound, atmosphere, and even identity, and I love translating those layered feelings into visual storytelling people can connect to.

What would you do with $25,000?

I would expand Synesthesia into immersive installations and functional art experiences. With my background in architecture, I would design spatial works and objects that translate the artwork into lived environments and experiences. This includes larger scale pieces, professional documentation, and art-driven products for the home and lifestyle that make sense in intentional and unconventional ways. Creating a world where the work is physically experienced through space, culture, and design.
