My mission is to create one of a kind pieces that are loved daily and cherished for generations and also serve to celebrate natural beauty.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love the meditative be process of creating functional ceramics. I will also decorate them in fine line work either done by engraving or fine brushwork. I love making functional art. There is something special about putting so much love and time into an object for someone else to impress their own emotions and memories into it.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the fragility of flowers, specifically peonies. I use their complex composition to decorate my pieces. To me my inspiration is the act of losing myself in the process. Each step in creating my work requires my complete attention. I love getting lost and thus finding myself in each individual step.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use it to help my husband attend graduate school. He has done so much to help me accomplish my dream. It’s my turn to help him work towards achieving his.
