Sharing a peer through my life's lense is how I relate to the world and individuals around me. Its as necessary as my 5 sense.

I don't have a singular love for a singular medium, aside perhaps painting as a whole. I use which ever medium that best suits the vision at hand. I will often create oils with vibrant acrylic under paintings, or watercolor and ink peices with gouache floating at the top, bringing forth what I believe needs the most attention. I have gone as far as gluing chains and bows onto canvas, or using soft clay to create cake decorating-like details. And gold is always a must.
Where do you find inspiration? The human psyche, the "invisible world," as I have heard it referred to. Being a neurodivergent creative who copes via pigment, I often reflect on my inner world. The raw emotion comes through mostly as naked, exposed women. Being a woman, I find it to be the most vulnerable form and I will paint my women either with ferocity or with mourning, whatever is striking me most. My works encapsulates the 5 stages of grief, largely. The dichotomy and duality of subject vs color is among my favorite.
What would you do with $25,000?I would like to reinvest any rewards into opening a public studio space, towards my online business, and larger scale projects such as installations. I live in a small town, although it is the largest within an hour range. It has slowly turned into a hub for many surrounding towns. I would love to put part of those proceeds towards this community that's fostered me, and give back an art space that is backed by and for the people.
