Art is my peace. When the world gets loud, you find a quiet place. That's what I create for myself, and hope to help create for others.

I love narrative ceramic work, and intuitive abstract painting also holds a special place in my heart.
Where do you find inspiration?Everywhere, honestly. In music, In silence, in the moon, in the medium itself... in clay, I am in constant communication with the material; it is as much the artist as I am. The way it responds to me, to the kiln, to the glaze? That's grounds for a collection of its own right there.
What would you do with $25,000?In my hometown there is an organization recently started called Imagine Martin. Which is dedicated to making the area into an art hub, and make art more accessible to the community. I'd love to buy a kiln, a mill, a wedging table, and a few kick wheels for their community art studio; I want to be able to sit down and teach kids the language of clay without them having to worry about cost. Creativity is freedom, and putting a price on developing a creative skill set steals that freedom.
