I translate the geometry of emotion into tactile, abstract layers, using heavy textures and raw materials to capture what words cannot.

I mainly do abstract expressionism, but I do not limit myself to a particular style of art. Utilizing heavy texture in my work allows the audience to interact with my art beyond just something pretty to hang on a wall and look at.
Where do you find inspiration? My art is a physical manifestation of the geometry of emotion. I don't just paint; I build layers of meaning using unconventional materials like lava rock, sand, and iron oxide to create high-tactile, abstract experiences. Each piece is a balance of technical precision and raw expression, pushing the boundaries of traditional canvas work. I aim to capture the energy and complexity of the human experience, translating internal rhythms into a bold, visual language that demands to be felt.
What would you do with $25,000?Winning this award would be transformative. I plan to upgrade my studio and acquire the professional supplies needed to scale my vision. Specifically, I intend to transition to large-format canvases, creating archival works designed to endure for generations. At this stage in my career, this support would provide more than just resources; it offers the public validation necessary to share my unique perspective and inner dialogue with a global audience.
