I am a painter at heart. I love and appreciate many mediums like video editing, singing, pottery making, drawing, sewing, beading, but at the root of all of that I love painting. It is the medium that my soul moves through. It’s the way I see the world. It’s been my favorite for so long and it will always be that way.
Where do you find inspiration?All around me. What I see, what I hear, what I experience. Most recently I have been finding inspiration through what I learn. I take classes and I do the readings and I have the discussions and through that learning comes my inspiration. Taking the time to learn the material in class and understand it and then respond and demonstrate those ideas through my medium, that is my inspiration.
What would you do with $25,000?I would stay in school but open a studio space in this town and set aside however much to keep that space for the foreseeable future. I would continue to work at my craft slowly chipping away at the 25k to maintain a growth mindset and stay focused. The 25 grand would be used to only support me on the path that I am on, I believe that my life is already devoted to art in every aspect and 25 grand would allow me to stay on that path and accomplish what I’ve always wanted to accomplish.
