"OOAK" American Girl dolls, each doll is given a different paint style, color pallet, the finished results are always a surprise. I never limit myself, and my inspiration never ends! I love creating art that gives comfort, and emotional support, my art takes you on a journey from the beginning to the end, I am live on YouTube "Selena's Elegant Dolls" I share the entire process with my viewers. I was always given old dolls; I learned to make them new again. Art is my coping mechanism to PTSD
Where do you find inspiration?My inspiration comes from my imagination, passion, life and a moment in time where I can focus and relax, not over-whelmed, but as if time has stood still, to create a one-of-a-kind piece of art disguised as a doll. Inspiration comes from within, happiness, excitement, pain, heartache, struggle, depression and life! Without inspiration and passion there would be no art!
What would you do with $25,000?I would go to the American Girl Store in NY and buy new dolls, and document it live on my YouTube at Selena's Elegant Dolls, perhaps a 3 day stay, Then come home and purchase better camara equipment for my live feed and photos, new paints, new brushes, supplies, or perhaps look into designing and producing my own doll line!
