Art is my therapy. My art is an extension of myself that will be around long after I'm gone. Hopefully inspiring others to be righteous.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is realism with oil pastels. The subject matter varies because it helps me reach different people. My art inspires others to become artists themselves, makes them happy, or motivates them to make this world a better place. I love seeing their reaction when they realize they are not looking at a photo but a drawing. More so, when their reaction is as if I am creating magic on a canvas. It is like they are hypnotized.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from life experiences. Everything from nature, astronomy, landscapes, sports, the beauty of women, world events, and the Bible inspires me to draw my vision onto a canvas for all to see. I so enjoy getting feedback from others. Sometimes their wisdom helps me become less ignorant and gain more knowledge. Thus, inspiring me to work on the next masterpiece.
What would you do with $25,000?Unfortunately, I would most likely pay taxes on it. So, with whatever remains, I would invest it in my art. My dream would be to have a home art studio that would help me take my side hustle as an artist to my main hustle. Hopefully replacing my job as an exercise therapist. I love helping others walk again or become physically independent, but the job is draining on the body. I get so tired. I am almost 50, so if I can be a full-time artist the remainder of my life would be so fulfilling.
