My people’s stories. Our lands. The elders who carry both. That’s what moves my work. That’s the lens I shoot through.

Filmmaking
Where do you find inspiration? The lands of my people. (Lakóta Lands)
What would you do with $25,000?My current project, MiLakóta Yelo, centers a Lakota-fluent grandmother, a matriarch of my people, and the living language she carries. With this support, I would expand it into a feature film, an all-Indigenous production with Indigenous cast, crew, and editor, filmed on Lakota lands. I would also love to create a series or film that honors my brother. This isn’t just a film. It’s a record. A reclamation. Built by the people it belongs to.
