I create to turn complex ideas into visual stories, while leaving space for interpretation and personal connection.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Portraits are my favorite to create because I enjoy capturing more than just appearance. I focus on a person’s energy and presence, allowing the work to feel expressive and interpretive rather than strictly hyper-realistic.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration is instinctive and constantly shifting. I’m drawn to images, cultural moments, and ideas that create a strong visual or emotional pull, whether if it is from film, music, or my own lived experience. I often use that feeling to build immersive, surreal worlds that invite viewers to step outside of reality and into something imagined.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the funds to build both stability and momentum. Supporting my family and easing financial pressure would allow me to focus fully on my practice. I would then invest in a dedicated studio space, materials, and equipment to elevate the quality and visibility of my work, creating a stronger foundation for my artistic growth.
