I love drawing my family, rock stars, animals, abstracts, and nature. I draw because it helps me be less depressed.

Colored pencil drawings is my favorite type of art to create. I use Prismacolor colored pencils. I have created many other types of art too. I also enjoy painting. I haven't done as much painting since I graduated from the University of Iowa with a BA in art. I find colored pencils to be the best medium for me because there is not much clean up and I can pick it up whenever I have any amount of time to spare.
Where do you find inspiration?Nature, people, animals, and rock and metal music are some of my inspirations. I take photos and I usually use them as a reference as I draw. I often times use multiple photos to create drawings that have more going on than just one photo would provide.
What would you do with $25,000?I would pay some of my mortgage and go on a trip. I work as a direct support professional (taking care of people with intellectual and physical disabilities) so I don't get paid much. My family lives paycheck to paycheck. I would love to see more of the world with my daughter and husband.
