I create art to turn fear into stories—proving creativity is alive and art should make people feel seen.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite kind of art to create is expressive, story-driven art that blends emotion, symbolism, and personal growth. I love creating pieces that feel alive — art that reflects healing, identity, transformation, and the parts of ourselves we’re sometimes too afraid to say out loud. Instead of focusing only on realism, I’m drawn to creating art that makes people feel something deeply and see themselves in it.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in emotion, healing, nature, music, and real-life experiences. A lot of my art comes from personal growth, grief, self-discovery, and the quiet moments people don’t always talk about out loud. I’m inspired by symbolism, human connection, and the idea that art can tell stories words sometimes can’t. I also pull inspiration from neo soul, spirituality, plants, color, and the beauty in transformation.
What would you do with $25,000?f I won $25,000, I would use it to build stability and create opportunity. I’d invest in starting my art business and holistic art brand, while also paying down debt so my son and I could breathe a little easier and live with less stress. This opportunity would give me the freedom to fully pour into my creativity, grow my platform, and create art that inspires healing, connection, and self-expression for others.
