My art practice is deeply rooted in the realities of caste discrimination, Dalit freedom, and social justice in India. Through sculpture
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My sculptural practice focuses on Dalit freedom, social justice, and caste discrimination. Through my work, I explore themes of oppression, resistance, dignity, and equality. My sculptures aim to present social realities and historical experiences in a powerful visual form, creating space for dialogue, awareness, and critical understanding.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from real social experiences, the struggles of the Dalit community, and histories that are often ignored or forgotten. I am deeply influenced by the realities of caste discrimination, resistance, and the fight for dignity and equality. Through sculpture, I try to transform these experiences into visual narratives that create awareness and encourage social dialogue.
What would you do with $25,000?If I received $25,000, I would use it to expand my sculptural practice focused on Dalit freedom, social justice, and caste discrimination. The support would help me build a proper studio, purchase materials and tools, and create larger artworks. I would also use it for research, documentation, exhibitions, and art residencies to share my work with a wider audience and create meaningful social dialogue through contemporary sculpture.
