I love creating comics that bring my superhero fantasies to life, inspired by artists and my community, for fans of superhero fiction.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I’ve dabbled in many forms of sculpture, exploring mediums like metal, glass, fabric, wood, and paper. Each material offers its own challenges and rewards, shaping how I think about texture, structure, and form. While I enjoy the hands-on nature of sculpting, my true passion has always been illustration. It’s where I feel most expressive, able to bring ideas to life with freedom, detail, and a personal sense of style that feels mine uniquely.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the world around me—at school, back home in New York, and while working at a nursing home. The people I meet and the way they interact shape my ideas. Observing everyday moments, objects, and fellow artists’ work helps me grow creatively. These experiences guide my approach towards my comics, allowing me to better connect with my audience and reflect diverse perspectives and cultures in my storytelling.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I’d invest in building my comic startup with my partners, Saqlain Zaheer and Jaynul Abedin. Our goal is to create a universe of superhero stories that expands into animation and gaming. The funds would cover convention booths to promote our work, secure a small studio space in New York, upgrade equipment, and pay any necessary legal fees. As our success grows, we’ll hire artists and colorists who share my vision to bring our characters and stories to life.
