painting and creating is like breathing its an absolute must. i quit my job to be an artist full time. I am still learning everyday.

I am more of a physical artist in the brush to canvas sense. I can appreciate the digital artists but I feel for me the actual feeling of the paint getting on you in the process and the connection the the physical canvas, panel, wood or even cardboard just really grounds me.
Where do you find inspiration?I find a lot of my inspiration from the outside world. I love animals and started off my journey as a pet portrait artist. I painted my car by hand a couple years ago and that unfortunately got my own cat of 16 years sick from the aerosol fumes she contracted pneumonia and passed away. My first pet portrait was of her RIP Bianca Michelle. People saw my Fb post and asked me to do a commission for them and then I just kind of blossomed from there. I love vibrant colors and bold images.
What would you do with $25,000?My goal is to start my own studio and doing all my painting in a small 2 bedroom is getting a little overwhelming. I would really like to find a nice space to host shows and showcase my fellow DFW and any other local, national and hopefully one day international artists. We are living so much on our phones I think we need to get back out into galleries and museums and see these wonderful creations up close.
