Through bold textures and thoughtful compositions, I aim to remind the viewer that magic isn't found in the impossible.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is work that draws people in and invites them to linger. When I create, I think about how Art can open a quiet space for dreaming and reflection. I want people to feel comfortable getting lost in a painting, allowing their own stories, memories, and feelings to surface. I find beauty and how a single piece can evoke different emotions in different people.
Where do you find inspiration?Color plays a central role in my creative process. I’m drawn to colors that feel alive and expressive. Colors that communicate, warmth, hoped, and movement even without words. Through layering, contrast, and texture, I try to capture the emotional rhythms of life. Moments of joy, stillness, complexity, and growth. Color allows me to express what is an always easy to say, and it helps transform a canvas into an emotional experience rather than just a visual one.
What would you do with $25,000?With 25,000 in funding, I would host an immersive art experience for youth experiencing homelessness. One that centers their voices, honors their lived experiences, and create space for reflection, healing, and connection. This experience would invite young people to tell their stories through art, using creativity as a tool for self expression and empowerment. The project would include guided art sessions offering an opportunity to be valued.
