What would life be without the pictures for our imaginations. Art is a journey- not only for the artists but for the viewers.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
For me, it's creating with pens of all kinds, especially a ballpoint pen. It has a natural, surreal feeling that works best with my imagination.
Where do you find inspiration?I am very inspired by weird old vintage greeting cards. I love oddities of any kind. A little trinket found without an explanation. A conversation that conjures an emotion will often find that emotion regurgitated into one of my illustrations.
What would you do with $25,000?I am trying to start up a not-for-profit art collective. A safe gathering place where artists support other artists. The next generation of a gallery space. Not the snooty galleries of the past, but one where age, religion, race, sex has no place. Where high-quality art can be found regardless of its creator's identity. Where seasoned artists can support up-and-coming artists.
