I create art to remember that life is happening, and I am experiencing it, and that is precious. Art offers memory and remembrance.

I love film photography and being able to capture moments in memory and remembrance.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the people around me: my friends, family, and everyone I meet and interact with. I've studied philosophy in undergrad, and find that art is often a way to access truths about ourselves and the world we live in that otherwise are hidden from us. Art inspires me to authenticity, and in that I am inspired to make more art.
What would you do with $25,000?I am currently pursuing my MA in art history, and would use $25,000 to continue my education so that in turn, I can serve as an educator and help bring art to more people. My dream is to work in museum education in order to build a more inclusive and diverse approach to education, art, and art history.
