It feels like an extension of how I portray myself and my emotions, and to bring visibility to disability awareness and lived experiences.

I’ve always been drawn to creating artwork rooted in storytelling and metaphor. I work across painting, charcoal, and digital illustration, but charcoal is where I feel most connected. I’m especially drawn to its monochromatic nature, using light and shadow to build emotion, depth, and quiet intensity.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in my own lived experiences. The emotions they evoke spark imagery and creativity in my work. As an artist, my goal is to create pieces that connect my personal perspective with shared human experiences.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the funding to deepen and expand my artistic practice. A portion would go toward sustaining my studio practice to continue developing self-portraits and narrative-driven pieces without financial limitation. I want to keep creating art with stories revolving disability awareness and human emotion. Beyond my personal practice, I have always aspired to become a professor. To guide emerging artists while fostering connection, community, and greater disability awareness.
