Connect What is your favorite type of art to create?

I create poetic writing rooted in real experience. My work sits between memoir and emotion, capturing moments most people feel but don’t always know how to express. I write about love, loss, trauma, and transformation in a way that is honest and unfiltered, so the reader doesn’t just understand it, they feel it. My goal is to create something that reflects people back to themselves and reminds them they’re not alone in what they’ve lived through.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration in lived experience, especially the moments that leave an emotional imprint. Relationships, loss, growth, and the process of rebuilding myself have all shaped my voice. I’m inspired by the things people don’t always say out loud, the quiet realizations, the contradictions, the in-between states. A lot of what I write comes from reflection, but also from instinct, capturing something real in the moment before it disappears.

What would you do with $25,000?

I would use it to bring my work into the world in a real, tangible way by publishing my manuscript and expanding my creative projects. It would give me the stability to focus on creating instead of just surviving. More than anything, it would allow me to turn my work into something that can reach people at scale, so the stories I’ve lived and written can actually impact others.
