Landscape and nature photography is by far my favorite medium. Just me and my camera in a beautiful place is literally like therapy for me and I could get lost for days. When you look around and you focus on nothing but what’s beautiful it makes you appreciate the world that you live in as it is.
Where do you find inspiration?Everywhere. I think I just see the world through different eyes than most people. Beauty is in everything. Constantly surrounding us. The way light flickers off certain surfaces, the patterns that shadows create, the symphony of color and textures in the macro world, it’s always present. I am floored by it constantly. Its abundance is almost overwhelming at times. I always want to capture it exactly as I see it so the world might understand what a gift it is to simply be alive & part of it all.
What would you do with $25,000?I am a mother with two toddlers who has been struggling financially. I have a business plan that I know would be a success but I lack the funds required to get off the ground and make my dream a reality. I would use the $25,000 to purchase equipment and supplies, rent a workshop and get my business off the ground. Essentially, the money would be my launching pad into a life where I can provide for my family and not constantly worry about what tomorrow will bring.
